Our Mission Statement
At GHLA we believe in fostering an inclusive educational environment where neurodiverse children thrive. Our philosophy centres on celebrating each child’s unique strengths, providing personalized support, nurturing a community that embraces diversity, and enabling every student to reach their full potential.
Our Curriculum
Each child is an individual, there are many good programs, but you need to fit the program to the child at any given time of the child’s development. Not every good program is good for every child. We base our teaching, our goals, and the choice of programs on what we know works, constantly evaluating, always open to new learning, and to what Piaget referred to as ‘accommodation’, that is we enlarge and rearrange our understandings with new knowledge. Each student has an IEP.
Our Services
We are very fortunate at GHLA to have our own dedicated team of therapy staff, including Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Counselor and Music Therapist.
Plus, we are one of the few schools that have a light room for our kids.
